13 Aug: UAE’s first kids’ gym and spa opens on the Palm

9 Aug: Abu Dhabi announces comedian Mike Epps’ regional debut

US stand-up comedian Mike Epps will make his regional debut on Friday 18 August at Al-Raha Beach Theatre as part of Abu Dhabi Summer Season 2017. He is best known for playing Day-Day Jones in Next Friday and its sequel, Friday After Next, and for appearing in The Hangover as Black Doug.

8 Aug: Free fitness classes at Mall of the Emirates

MOE ACTIVE will host complimentary fitness classes at 8:30am (before the stores open) from Sunday to Thursday, allowing participants to partake in an invigorating workout then go shopping or enjoy breakfast. The initiative includes Mall Walker and Mall Walker Circuit classes every Sunday and Monday, and FlyWheel and FlyBarre classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

7 Aug: Noodle House relaunches with new ‘sticks-hands-spoon’ mantra

Dubai’s original homegrown Asian restaurant The Noodle House has undergone a huge rebranding and will be relaunching on August 13th at its flagship Souk Madinat outlet with a  brand new look and menu. The new menu revolves around a sticks-hands-spoon mantra with 50 new dishes including lots of street-food favourites like baos, buns and dumplings, as well as 14 new noodle dishes and a whole section dedicated to duck.

6 Aug: Careem kids launches in Abu Dhabi

Screen Shot 2017-08-07 at 12.19.35Careem, the UAE-based ride hailing app, is bringing its “Kids” service to Abu Dhabi. Launched in Dubai in 2014, Careem Kids is a dedicated car type for passengers travelling with young children. Each car in the Kids fleet comes with a universal car seat that can carry a child of up to 30 kilos in weight. Each Captain on this service is hand-picked and trained on how to safely install and alter the size of the seat.
