There’s definitely something about taking the Christmas decorations down that makes decluttering seem like a good idea. At my office tower, too, there’s been a bout of spring cleaning. They finally got round to washing the windows – no mean feat when you work on the 24th floor.
That must be a year round job on some of the tall buildings – no sooner to they get to the top than it is time to start again at the bottom! 🙂
Apparently, washing the Burj Khalifa’s 24,348 windows takes 36 workers three to four months!!
Good grief! I think how long it takes me (and how boring it is) just washing the windows in my little house here. I can’t imagine a task that great.
Wow, it’s really nice to have stumbled upon your blog and reading the all too familiar feelings and thoughts an Expat would have living here in UAE. I am from UK and since moving up here with my family a couple of years back it’s been the same thing. Our tower had the most disgusting windows lol until a few weeks ago 😉
Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting! I hope you’re enjoying the view from your tower now 🙂 x
